Refusing to be Silenced

Several weeks ago my family and I attended a fair, and drove our dusty blue van to the event. Of course, dirty cars can actually be a handy thing when one is not allowed to put bumper stickers on a vehicle. So I had written largely in the dust on one of the windows “by supporting Iraq… I support the troops”. Well, after coming back to our van after an activity, I found the words to be wiped away, and found myself ranting over the person who would so childishly disagree, as well as take the liberty to un-decorate MY piece of property! It took me a while to cool down after finding that, and though it was just a simple incident, those of us who are Christian conservatives do have every right to be infuriated at the illegal, intrusive liberties many liberal organizations and leaders are taking to silence those of us who oppose their ideas;

Whether it be religious…

They take God out of everything; you simply mention His name in a public school and you will be reprimanded, maybe even suspended. God is being taken one by one out of our society; through our patriotic pieces of history such as the Pledge of Allegiance, through entertainment, news, politics, you name it; God is no longer tolerated in America by liberal atheists, and they will stop at nothing to make sure that you are both silenced and brainwashed by their blasphemous declarations.

Or political…

When was the last time you saw any conservative Republican applauded for their convictions by the major news media? Most likely your answer will be never. Our conservative politicians are not even not tolerated by liberals; they are degraded, humiliated, and tried to their limits every chance a staunch democrat can get. Daily we witness conservatives running for positions being attacked by unfair and unnecessary interrogations, as was the case with now Judge Samuel Alito. In an attempt to weed out any competition they will prolong hearings and nominations; anything to make a conservative break under the pressure, and leave the arena.

Or personal…

It’s a clear violation of our rights as American citizens to do what we please, in freedom and in peace, when social workers invade our homes with fake reports of child abuse and neglect. One such outrage is the Abraham Cherrix case. Abraham is being threatened with jail because his parents allowed him to make the decision to discontinue chemotherapy for cancer. He was reported to a social worker and now the Cherrix family, who must undoubtedly be under enormous amounts of stress, is now involved in a whirlwind of tiresome hearings and threats. The social workers may argue that chemotherapy is best for Abraham, but apparently he found otherwise. Now they are threatening to tear this 16-year old away from his family and out of his home, simply because he made a different decision about his own body. If this happens, then we must ask; what next? How far will these people, who tear children away from their families, go to insure that our generation of kids don’t make an impact on our culture? The liberals will stop at NOTHING to silence you and me, and we all need to be extremely concerned and ready to take swift action and protest the invasion of our homes and our rights as American citizens.

Just as someone who opposed my message on the van window wiped it away, so the liberals of America are working to wipe away our futures as the next generation of God’s people, and I don’t know about you; but I am not going to simply stand by and watch. I will continue to blog for Christ, and speak without fear my convictions and opinions, for I am an American, and I will refuse to be silenced.

They weren't killing your message on the van, they were being good samaritans and cleaning your windows. :D

I think your points are vailid, but your way of looking at them is way off.

God (not) in schools:
Whoop-de-doo. It's been that way for 50 years, and people still come to Christ. And it's not just God that is banned, any prayer is. It isn't a persecution of Christ, but on any form of faith.

Media and conservatives:
The media has ripped conservatives for 60 years. Its the status quo, I think we should be over it by now, at least in general. Why? Because it helps the convserative movement. Iron Sharpens Iron, and so the media barrage mearly strengthens our canidates.

Personal Freedoms:
Maybe you missed this, but just as some freedoms are taken, others are restored, and justice is done.
While one judge is taking away the Cherrix parents rights, the legislature is restoring power to the parents with abortion.

Quite honestly, this is a much bigger victory in comparison with the Cherrix case.

Yes, continue to speak out for Christ. This is america, and as long as we vote, the constitution protects our right to speech. But it also protects others, include that of the media and various cooks. Meet in the arena of ideas, and the truth will win.

Hello Patriot, and palm boy too.
Y'all sound like sheepdogs! Way to go. Patriot knows me, and that I am 65 years old. I am a sheepdog, and am often concerned about whether our youth will do a good job as we fade away. I have no doubt in that. You two, the Russel County Ky, graduating class that said: "Our father who art..........", Holly Wheat, our politics of a patriot; we are leaving y'all this country and I think it will be in good hands. By the way, what ya gonna do with all the "zeros", and underachievers?
Great Post Jennifer,

right now.

palm boy...I like what you said. I think that you are very realistic, and your points were very accurate.

A book that ya'll ought to read is "The Harsh Truth about Public Schools"

(The book is very well documented with over 120 pages of end notes!)

The public schools are not discriminating against Muslims, Hindus, Atheists, or palm readers...only against Christians and people who dress/act weird.

Read the book...you won't be able to put it down!

God bless you, girl! May the strength of your convictions continue to inspire others. It's great to see SOME of the youth in this country still have courage to speak out against the erosion of our values. Let the detractors have their say... they contribute nothing to the preservation of values, only the abuse of freedom.

(By the way, what happened to MDG? His blog seems to have stopped at March 22.)

Mike47;

I don't know what happened to MDG! He just disappeared. I have tried e-mailing him but he never responds. I am wondering how they are doing; wish he would post!

Palm boy,

They are definitely not banning all prayer, Moslem students are still allowed to do their prayer rituals.
