Birthdays...
Wow! I am so excited; I get to go to dance camp as a junior counselor in July. Wow so exciting! Can’t wait.
Happy birthday Andrew and Jonny! Boy; 8 and 6; so big! Here’s for you Andrew (and Jonny);
My brother is a skinny guy;
He’s always been that way.
Even after eight long years!
And up to his birthday.
He wears some glasses, With long eye-lashes
And we really think he’s cute!
So when his birthday comes around;
The love is nothing new.
He likes to swing, to play outside
(And sometimes likes to fight…)
But underneath, He’s a little boy;
And that is quite alright.
So Happy Birthday! Through and through;
I’ll say it for your sake.
And now that I have done my part;
Let’s get on to the cake.
Got to go; it’s getting late.
Jennifer

OT....the blogrolling thing....
from you "Manage Posts" page, you can get into your template by hitting the "edit template" button. a good idea right before you start messing with the template is to open a new folder in "My Documents" or somewhere else easy to find and access, name it something like "blogger stuff". then open notepad, create a new document, call it "template" followed by the date, and then open your template. right click, choose 'select all', copy template, and paste it into notepad document. save document to blogger stuff folder.
just in case something goes wrong, you now have a copy to restore your template with. (i'm a relative newbie at this stuff too, i picked a blog-dad with enough patience to walk me through this! the backup of the template is his idea, and a very good one too!)
once you're into the template, scroll down about 2/3 to 3/4 of the way down, and somewhere in that area you should see a HTML tag that says div id=sidebar surrounded by <>. this begins the sidebar portion of your blog template. this is where your recent posts thingie is, blogger profile, etc. the sidebar portion ends with /div, the closing tag, also surrounded by <>.
a good place to put in the blogroll is right above the Blogger button. it starts with the tag p id="powered by", ends with alt="powered by Blogger" and then the closing tags. i'd put the exact lines in here, but the HTML tags probably wouldn't agree with the comment section tag rules.
anyhoo, just above that, create a few new blank lines. just put your cursor in between the previous line and the Blogger button line and hit 'enter' a few times. if there is no space, put your cursor at the very beginning of the Blogger button line and hit enter a few times to give yourself a little room. then put your cursor in that space, and paste in the blogrolling code
if you want to label that as the blogroll code, you can use the tag of left arrow (<) followed by an exclaimation point,and two dashes(--)type in the lable, followed by two more dashes and a right arrow. that should be on the line above the code. anything in between will be visible only on the template, and not on the blog page. obviously, don't include the parentheses, i put them in just in case Blogger comments don't like that tag. below the code, use the same tag only with 'end blogrolling code' or something like that.
next, hit the 'preview' button at the bottom of the page. if everything looks right, i.e. you have an empty blogroll, go back to template page and hit 'save template changes', republish your blog, and view. you might need to refresh the page to get the blogroll to show up initially.
you may now go to the blogrolling main page to find the 'add links' part, and link away!
sorry about writing a novel in your comments, but i wanted to be as clear as possible to make it easier for you.
another neat little doo-dad is Sitemeter (www.sitemeter.com) that counts your visitors, and has a bunch of different ways that you can show stats about your blog traffic.
also, you may want to register your blog in the Ecosystem (http://www.truthlaidbear.com/ecosystem.php) and watch your evolution...just a bit of new code to paste into the sidebar of your template, but you know how to do it now!
i'll stop before i start in on the sequel to the novel....:) hope it helps!
