Roots

The roots of faith grow strong and deep
Much like a full grown tree.
They twist and bend, they grow and spread
Even though you cannot see;

The sun that shines it’s rays and life
The stream that trickles by.
Without these healthy, heavenly sources
Our faith would surely die.

The sun, which causes living things;
In him we see the Christ.
In streams we see the Word of God
Which guides our course of life.

As we go about our work
And live from day to day,
Our roots will one day tell the story
Of the things we do and say.

So look about your orchard,
The status of your stream.
And are you catching enough of the sun
As it shines it’s morning gleam?

If you grow in holiness
According to His plan,
Then even through the storms of life
Your roots will hold and stand.

Jennifer,

You are so much beyond your 14 years that it is a pleasure to read your prose.

God Bless you, your family, and those who pointed me your way.

It really is a pleasure to connect with you, Jennifer. Thanks for leaving a comment on my site, so that I know that you visited by blog. I don't often meet people who express their thoughts about having a relationship with Our Lord as well as you do. Maybe expressing those deeper thoughts are hard for most people. I'm sure others (as I do) appreciate the conviction and love for our Heavenly Father you express in your writing. It truely is great to find a soul, like you, that delights in our Lord's creations and His Word.

Again, it's nice to meet you. Little Mazza
