God's cool way of showing us His glory...
The other night while we were driving home from my dance recital we could see continuous sheets of lightning. We were driving right under it, it seemed but when we rolled down our windows it was strangely quiet. Anyway, we were being kind of silly, having just eaten ice cream at 10:00, and I was kind of joking about “what does it mean” after my recital that there was a lot of lighting. But it was kind of cool after I sobered up a bit because then this thought came to me; this is the big finale, God’s finale, to my recital, to remind me that it’s all about Him. That was cool and it’s always neat to see how sometimes (and you know it’s God that places this thought in your head) He shows you something and then brings a thought to your mind that places the two together in such a descriptive way. Well, that was a powerfully peaceful and worshipful way to end the evening of my recital, even if I was kind of groggy.
Jeremy is in bed and crying. He hasn’t been weaned from his pacifier until today, when it was about to fall apart so we finally just cut it. When Emi gave it to him he looked at it for a minute and then said (and in such a way it made me and Emi laugh!) “it’s broken” with this funny look on his face. He kept saying that dad could fix it. He’s pretty upset. Oh, I’ve taught him to kiss my hand. It’s really cute. Emi says I shouldn’t make him do it but he doesn’t mind. :0
Got to go. :)
