America...
America, you are a chosen nation. You are one, out of so many, that God has blessed most abundantly. Inspired by the dreams of Godly men who longed for a better life, you were founded upon clear morals, and upheld by strong motives. Despite the unavoidable clouds of evil that have slowly crept into your society, God has held you yet firmly in His overpowering hands, and over the years you have remained His nation.
One cannot explain the stirring in their hearts as they hear your anthem, or witness the rippling colors of your flag. For you were not bought cheaply, nor are your rolling hills unstained by the blood or untouched by the turmoil of battle. No; men have slaved to keep you free, and it is by their blood that you remain so. How can one stand upon your plains, and behold simply another land, another home? For God has dominion of your soil, and continues to work in it.
Your government was founded by the Godliest of men; men who gave their very lives to uphold the image of strength, justice, and freedom which you have become a symbol of. And though many have been blinded by your riches, the same men live on today, and the same noble sacrifice that keeps your land a free one is constantly being lived out by your protectors.
What a wonderful blessing is your freedom! And even better are the people who use it to God’s glory. Through the years your soil has been tilled and cared for by leaders who value the fruits of their labors; for those who have not worked your ground, have not received those rewards. Too often your people of today have not valued the freedoms that their founder’s diligence brought forth; and yet those who do not take part in the taming of your land will never fully experience the joys of the freedoms you enable.
Truly you are a nation blessed by God! For those who argue that you have no Creator have yet to witness the blessings that He continues to shower upon you. May you never cease to glorify Him, and may your people open their eyes to the glory of your land… and thus, of the God who has, and always will, reign over you.

what a wonderful post Jen... Your use of words is perfect!
It was so beautiful the way God let us steal all this land from the native Americans. So nice that we could infect them with disease and wipe them out with new technologies.
Terrific, too, that we had such cheap labor, indentured servants and then later African slaves. Thank God we were allowed to build the world's greatest economy without having to pay for it!
Freedom has been such a great blessing, we get to choose what kind of soda to buy, and learn to consume more than we need to stoke the economic engine.
(It has not all been pretty.)
Aye, America is a good country that was once influenced by morality and held values that made every man's word worth something. But when I look around and see the unbearable corrution I wonder why they continue to walk. They are the walking dead that are mechanically controlled by an industrialized economy that is slowy and steadily degrading itself into a worthless pit of dead ideals and immoral based judgement that is being politically protected. However, when this finally happens I'm sure that citizens of New Babylon shall be tuning into the Antichrist's newest speech. It's a shame though that this must happen. It's a shame that no one lives by the sword of the heart any longer, all of the integrity and honor that once held its place as an inheritance amongst its people has slowly bled itself out of this world. It is the last descendents of this knowledge that struggle to practice this integrity. The days of honor are gone, and your recent America isn't doing much to keep that integral flame going.
Wow. You guys just astound me. With mud colored glasses, the world certainally looks awful.
Hey, don't forget. We also stole the land from the mexicans! And those Texans, maybe they were forced to join. And we stole the land from dixie! And then we took alaska out of the stone age! We had no right to do that!!
As far as I remeber, slavery was gone by 1865. We came into a world power in the '40s.
Yes. Freedom is a blessing. I can worship Jesus Christ, and you can worship what ever the heck you want. I can carry a weapon for defense. I can write anything, and be protected.
No. It has not all been pretty. But the majority of it has.

You sound like the guy that carries the sign 'The end is near'.
Walking dead that are mechanically controlled? What does that mean?
An industrial economy that is wearing itself into a pit? What should we do, go back to an agricultural economy?
"The days of honor are gone, and your recent America isn't doing much to keep that integral flame going."
What the heck? Are you clinically depressed??? Where else in the world are there as many christians as in america? Where else is free and open dialouge encouraged and protected? Where else is relgion allowed without quibles? Nowhere. And that is why America is a shining beacon of freedom and justice in this world, because we have freedom that is protected.
You two need to get some sense into you and maybe have a little love for the nation that allows you to say such things.
Palm boy, I'm glad that ye can find every "great thing there is about America, but my friend ye forget. Mud colored glases were once clear ones that someone threw mud at.
Incorrect, we fought with the Mexican's for Texas, for many years we did this and for what? Sure then it was for freedom, so that an honest pioneer could live in the 'state' of Texas. But now look at it, it's just a boiling piece of dirt that sets the scene as a national oasis for the Mexicans. And a place where politicians like Bush can crawl out of, and I should say something about Massachusetts but I may get vulgar with that state.
As for dixie, the confederates were right to want to defend their way of life. They wished to keep their agragarian form of life and should 'ave. But I must of course simply have to talk about slavery if I so much as mention the south. I do believe that slavery still existed in other parts of the world and in the US in 1865, seeing as with Lincoln dead there wasn't much Union enforcing the South to a prosperous point. Just carpetbaggers that wished to make a profit. What a great country even then. When they should 'ave held swords in respect they pick at each others scraps.
Ah, yes the forties I believe that we were a world power only after we had defeated Hitler, and then look at where it got us. A little thing that I like to call the Cold War. The one with the other super power called Soviet Russia, the U.S.S.R.
Look at them now though, they crumbled under their own strength. I find it amazing that we still remain steady. But then I would be ignoring our country's defesit. After all it's only a couple of trillion dollars in.
Oh my, I seem to 'ave forgotten about Alaska. Let's see, we brought it out of the stone age? It was a frozen hunk of land that had gold and oil in it(which I might add is another great subject in our country). And we bought it from the Russians.
There was no great crusade to save it, we just wanted what was in it. Yeah sounds like a great bunch of entrepeneurs.
Oh yes you're quite correct. Freedom is a wonderful blessing. Worship Christ(in fact I love him with all of my soul) but just don't put a manger with him in it anywhere though. Follow that rule and ye have full religous freedom. Except for the part that my grandmother can't say god bless to anyone at work, because it might offend them.
Your weapons, a great subject. What is a man wihout a gun? He is a man that doesn't have a piece of deadly steel hanging on him. Don't get me wrong, I love guns. I own some and I enjoy marvelig at their ingenious nature. But really, when was the last time ye pulled out ye gun on some guy about to kill ye? That point aside, the law states that ye must have a license to OWN a gun. Then, ye still can't carry it around while it's concealed and you're in public. The only ones that can do that are women. And it's called the concealment of arms law. What a priviledge for the ladies! 'Round of applause for the feds.
Write what ye shall as well, just remember to be careful. Yeah, ever heard of a book called "The Catcher In The Rye"? If ye are to happen and buy this book, then ye go onto a goverment list. Seriously ye do, check it for ye self. Even though, I don't understand what this book has to do with the goverment. In fact it has nothing to do with the feds. The only thing about it was at the time it was published the society (excluding the book's audince, the youth of America) almost rejected it as a form of literature. But it still went on the list. Don't get too excited about ye rights so fast. Your protection can only go so far. If the feds deem ye as any kind of a threat to anything(doesn't matrter what really, they always have an excuse)then you're kaput.
Hmm, yeah you're right the majority of what ye've been saying so far sounds practically beautiful.
Ye know the end is near, and it will hopefully come sooner if ye stop talking. What a comment this is.
Yes, walking dead, we are controlled by what the great american goverment's constitution(minus a few 'technicalities')allows us.
No, an agragarian economy seems so clean. We should stay far from it. But the monotonous routine that this country's economy has been in can only lead us deeper into the economic rut. Remember Soviet Russia, and that small little thing called the Roman empire.
No, I am not clinically depressed. Far from it I should imagine. Quite a number of christians are there here, yes. But let's forget about the fact that many claim to have division in the church and to know more agnostic aquaintences that christian. Also add that minority religous groups are speaking louder that we christians are. And we have quite a glorious Christian stew brewing in america.
My friend I believe that I might 'ave blemished your shining beacon of america. I love freedom and justice, I spoke of it pationatetly in my last comment.
But it is you who are misled, like so many others in america. Even our soldiers that sit across the Atlantic are fighting for a cause that lost its spark long ago. In fact this WAR is only the cover up so that Bush can finish his oil buisness. I'm not here to chastise ye or to completely down America. I can find one good thing about it right here. You placed your opinion against mine and still live. Perhaps now anyone who reads this will have the sense that we both wish they did.
Until further discussion comes,
Maverick (look that word up)
What a great response post Jacob. It is nice to hear a relevant "perspective" on this site.
Thankfully our founding fathers secured the protection of religious practices OTHER than Christianity so that the Christians cannot be oppressive and force their beliefs down my, or anyone else's throat.
"Mud colored glases were once clear ones that someone threw mud at. "
I wonder how hard it would be to clean them off...
My second paragraph was in sarcasim, which I assumed you would be capable of understanding.
We did not steal Texas, nor Dixie, nor Hawaii. We brought freedom there, after they asked, for the Mexian war. We reunited the country and freed the slaves after the civil war. And we brought freedom and prosperity to Hawaii.
"But now look at it, it's just a boiling piece of dirt that sets the scene as a national oasis for the Mexicans. And a place where politicians like Bush can crawl out of"
Pardon me, but what state do you live in? I live in texas sir, and it is the finest state in the Union. A boiling piece of dirt, with the second highest population in the country? No. Bush did not crawl out of her, he was elected to presidency by the will of the american people.
After the civil war, we had a lot of economic prosperity in america. And are you saying we did not take a moral step forward by giving the slaves their God given rights of freedom?
"Ah, yes the forties I believe that we were a world power only after we had defeated Hitler, and then look at where it got us. A little thing that I like to call the Cold War. The one with the other super power called Soviet Russia, the U.S.S.R."
Um, yeah. Conflict breeds strenght, and competition sharpens everyones swords. Its a dangerous game, but we've won each time.
As for the cold war, we won. If we hadn't been a world super power, pray tell how we would have stopped the soviets?
"Look at them now though, they crumbled under their own strength. I find it amazing that we still remain steady. But then I would be ignoring our country's defesit. After all it's only a couple of trillion dollars in."
Why did they crumble? Because they had absolutly no freedoms. Freedom creates strength and prosperity, totalitarian regimes crumble.
A deficit we are paying off. 8% of our anual budget is direct twoards that. And the countries that owe money to us, much of their payments go back into the deficit.
"Oh my, I seem to 'ave forgotten about Alaska. Let's see, we brought it out of the stone age? It was a frozen hunk of land that had gold and oil in it(which I might add is another great subject in our country). And we bought it from the Russians.
There was no great crusade to save it, we just wanted what was in it. Yeah sounds like a great bunch of entrepeneurs."
Yes. And what is wrong with entrepeneurs?
"What is a man wihout a gun? He is a man that doesn't have a piece of deadly steel hanging on him. Don't get me wrong, I love guns. I own some and I enjoy marvelig at their ingenious nature. But really, when was the last time ye pulled out ye gun on some guy about to kill ye?"
Not the point of it, although I haven't.
And no, you don't need a lisense to own it. Yes, you need a lisense for a concealed weapon. Men and women both.
"Ye know the end is near, and it will hopefully come sooner if ye stop talking. What a comment this is.
Yes, walking dead, we are controlled by what the great american goverment's constitution(minus a few 'technicalities')allows us."
I am takng this as sarcasim.
"But the monotonous routine that this country's economy has been in can only lead us deeper into the economic rut. Remember Soviet Russia, and that small little thing called the Roman empire."
The roman empire was in existance for 800 years. We've been around for 250. Our time is not yet near. :D
"But it is you who are misled, like so many others in america. Even our soldiers that sit across the Atlantic are fighting for a cause that lost its spark long ago. In fact this WAR is only the cover up so that Bush can finish his oil buisness."
And so now the real truth comes out. Nutcase liberals...
That was a nice long post Jacob.
Sorry palm boy, I've grown weary of this debate and shan't spend the energy to read ye points that just volleyball mine back. So to save us grief and whoever anonymous is I'm flattered but I don't think we're on the same page. Now palm boy this is the last I shall post on this one. 1: I'll grant America is a good country and I'm glad to live in it. 2: Don't compare one empire to another. Because if ye did then I must point out the the Soviets lasted around fifty years. So to ye numbers we're two hundred overdue.
3: Lastly, I'm no liberal nutcase, in fact I walk on the fence studying hardcore patriots like ye self and Jennifer and others like our anonymous friend here.
So I bid ye farewell, until I comment again on another post.
Maverick
