- I heard this song on the movie "Summer Magic" which was made probably in the 60's. The movie was hilarious, and I thought the lyrics to this song were great. Not many girls think like this today...

Cool lyrics! I can almost imagine them being sung, (even though I've never heard the song) and it sounds hilarious! :) You're right, there's not many girls like that today... which is sad!
Are you serious?! I hate this song. It's a G rated song about flaunting yourself in order to nab a boyfriend. the girls who sang that song could have put their time to much better use by thinking on something other than boys. Yes. Be feminine. but do it for the right reasons, not masking the real you in order to get guys to look at you. Be a lady, but be a lady for God, not worrying about when He'll provide a husband for you. (the other problem is that the girls in that movie were far to young to be so romantic)

I agree that we should not mask our character to pretend to be something we are not... it's the "be feminine" in general part that I liked about the song... and also the idea that we can attract (in a Godly way) young men with our feminine sides, not our "fun-loving", "sexy" side.
Let's make sure that feminine is who what we are, and then let's use our femininity to attain the respect and admiration of our future husbands! :)

so i had thought that i had heard that song before. I like them but I also agree you have to be fun loving. But looking like a lady is fun too. I love getting all dressed up and looking good. hehe
