Declaration of WAR
February 23, 1998
Statement signed by Shiekh Usama Bin-Muhammad Bin-Ladin; Ayman al-Zawahiri, leader of the Jihad Group in Egypt; Abu-Yasir Rifai Ahmad Taha, a leader of the Islamic Group; Shiekh Mir Hamzah, secretary of the Jamiatul-Ulema-e-Pakistan; and Fazlul Rahman, leader of the Jihad Movement in Bangladesh;
Praise be to Allah, who revealed the Book, controls the clouds, defeats factionalism, and says in His Book "But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the pagans wherever you find them, seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem of war"; who said "I have been sent with the sword between my hands to ensure that non one but Allah is worshipped, Allah who put my livelihood under the shadow of my spear and who inflicts humiliation and scorn on those who disobey my orders."
First, for over seven years the United States has been occupying the lands of Islam in the holiest of places, the Arabian Peninsula, plundering its riches, dictating to its rulers, humiliating its people, terrorizing its neighbors, and turning its bases in the Peninsula into a spearhead through which to fight the neighboring Muslim peoples. So now they come to annihilate what it left of this people and to humiliate their Muslim neighbors.
If the Americans’ aims behind these wars are religious and economic, the aim is also to serve the Jews' petty state and divert attention from it's occupation of Jerusalem and murder Muslims there.
All these crimes and sins committed by the Americans are a clear declaration of war on Allah, his messenger, and the Muslims. And ulema have throughout Islamic history unanimously agreed that the Jihad is an individuality if the enemy destroys the Muslim countries. This was revealed by Imam Bin-Qadama in "al-Muughhni," Imam al-Kasai in “AQl-Badai,” al-Qurtubi in his interpretation, and the shaykh of al-Islam in his books, where he said “As for the militant struggle, it is aimed at defending sanctity and religion, and it is a duty as agreed. Nothing is more sacred than belief except repulsing an enemy who is attacking religion and life.”
On that bases, and in compliance with Allah’s order, we issue the following fatwa to all Muslims
The ruling to kill the Americans and their allies-civilians and military- is an individual duty for every Muslim who can do it in any country in which it is possible to do it. This is an accordance with the words of Almighty Allah, “and fight the pagans all together as they fight you together,” and “fight them until there is no more tumult and oppression, and their prevail justice and faith in Allah.”
- I typed this all out (whew!) from one of my school books; Unveiling Islam by Ergun and Emir Caner, which I have been reading as part of our religion course.
These Muslim extremists are not dumb. They are not blindly and irrationally picking fights with people they happen to dislike. The Muslims are a people driven by devotion to a strict faith in Allah. They fight people because of one reason: we do not worship Allah. We, as non-Muslims, are evil, blind infidels and thus must be killed. Hence the declaration of war on America. You may wonder what the plane hijackers on 9/11 were thinking as they flew into the world trade centers. Well, I’ll tell you. Most likely they were praying to Allah, praising Him and thanking Him for this chance to die with honor. To them, it is honorable to kill and to die for Allah… to us, it is a blessing to live and give life for Christ.
If you thought that the people we are fighting are negotiable people, think again. If you are a Christian or reject Islamic thinking, than you are automatically worth killing, period. Terrorists are not nice people, and I, personally, am SO thankful to our troops for keeping them out of my home.
God bless the re-builders of such rich heritage; Iraq and Afghanistan.

That's your friendly "religion of peace" speaking.
Oh come on guys! It's a declaration of war! I need your thought provoking (anger provoking works too) comments!
Fine, I'll conjure up some hateful words for you.
I think we should start collecting the remains of Al-Queda terrorists and instead of returning them to the families we should soak them in pigs blood and feed them to pigs.
They are fighting a total war. It is time we do the same.
I definately believe it is a declaration of war. The 'fatwa' that is described there says it all. They want to kill all Americans. So, I am doing my best to stop 'em here, so you guys don't have to deal with em there.
Any Muslim who subscribes to this or any 'fatwa' and threatens the US needs to be dealt with judiciously.
Thank you MDG!
We need no hateful words. Just action. Action being the swift, painful death at the hands of the world's ONE group that keep everyone, not just Americans, free. The United States Military. The one barrier to those who COULD oppress us all. Those who WOULD oppress us all. Dead Jihadi Bodies speak louder than words. We need to kill or imprison them all
(there is that damned sympathy again) before they succeed in buying a nuke from some dictator or other worthless human being, and make us all, even the cindy sheehans of the world, wish we had killed them sooner.
So they can declare war on us, but we can't search them at airports? They can saw off our heads, but we can't give 'em a good old college hazing?
Try rooting for our side for a change...
Stop living in fear, but your ass on the line and go over there and fight --- YOU ARE A COWARD.
You might want to try looking at your own words and think how they sound to a small girl from a desolote farm community in Iraq. Think of the terror she feels, she does not have a great nation like ours and a great military like ours to protect her.
Hey, Anonymous,
ThePatriot15 is not able to "put her *** on the line and go over and fight"...she is 15...that's MY job, so she doesn't have to.
Just want to thank you all for serving your country and for protecting u.s. all. You are right at the very foundation of the muslim belief system you will find hate and violence. Fight hard, we'll keep the lights on for ya!

I am confused. How do your words apply to what I just posted? I have nothing against the Iraqi people; I love the Iraqi people and pray for those children who are witnessing the struggles of a nation rebuilding...
Somehow your words do not make much sense to me. So the radical Muslims declared war on us, and we sent our WONDERFUL military in to protect the U.S. AND Iraq, and I have to say, they have done a most wonderful job over there and I applaud them.
I would like to mention that joining the military is not the only way to serve one's country. There are certainly other ways to build up and serve America. And no more swearing, you hear?
Interesting website, patriot. No, joining the military isn't the only way to serve, but when you are such a proponent of the war overseas, i find it interesting you're not willing to put your own life on the line.
How do you know I am not willing to give my life for my country? It is my convictions, not my loyalty, that will (in the future) keep me from going overseas to fight in combat. I believe that as a reformed Christian my role as a girl/woman is to, instead of physically fight for freedom overseas, fight less life-threatening wars here at home and support those who serve, thus protecting my country in a differant form. This does NOT change my loyalty nor my feelings towards my country, and I am proud to support and fight for the U.S. as best a young, female patriot can.
"I believe that as a reformed Christian my role as a girl/woman is to, instead of physically fight for freedom overseas, fight less life-threatening wars here at home and support those who serve, thus protecting my country in a differant form."
So what do you think of women in the military then? I mean, there are a lot of women serving in this war in non-combat positions? JAG attorneys, supply clerks, nurses? why don't you enlist to do one of those jobs? or you'd rather just send others to die for you?
there are lots of Christians in the military. I'm not sure what makes you different. Maybe I don't understand the "reformed Christian" difference.
Just curious...
anon... strange. how can you question courage when you fear posting a name
How can you expect everyone who is proud of their country to serve in the military? As you yourself said, there are many, MANY ways to serve one's country. As a Christian (and simply a person with dreams in mind) I have found my calling to be differant than joining the military. Yes, maybe in the future I will (*gulp*) overcome my fear of saws and needles and become a nurse for the military, but as far I know, most positions in the military that I would be eligible for mean being deployed at some time.
If all women were pressured into so actively serving one's country as you think necessary, then the meaning of "women", "homemaker" and "wife/mother" would be lost. Please do not attack my title as a young women proud of those who would serve her, just as she longs to serve them.
the contributions of wives/mothers to a soldier are self evident and need no defending. anon. doesn't want you or anyone else to do what he/she cannot.
"So what do you think of women in the military then? I mean, there are a lot of women serving in this war in non-combat positions? JAG attorneys, supply clerks, nurses? why don't you enlist to do one of those jobs? or you'd rather just send others to die for you?" That's rather contridictory. They are in non-combat positions and yet you say that we are sending them to die for us. I personally disagree with women being in the military as it is now. www.visionforum.com has some good articles on women in the military.
I know there are wonderful Christians in the military. And I don't think you understand Reformed theology. I have to go to bed now we can talk later....
"Did you see the yuppies flying out the windows of the trade center?" laughed a young man outside a mosque in North London. "That was so funny."
