American Girl... Saved by Grace... Undeserving of Freedom
I really enjoyed getting an up close view of a big city; and Chicago's skyline was very impressive! But... I don't think I would want to live there- being the country girl that I am. And does anyone know why there are so many black people in Chicago? Just wondering...

Did you notice that everyone smokes in Chicago?
As for ethnicity, it seemed that if anything Chicago was a little whiter than my hometown (Seattle).
we were only in Chicago for a day so I didn't really take the time to notice about smokers... but there were a lot of black people, atleast in one area we drove through. It was interesting.
I agree with your sentiments regarding big cities. I wish I lived in the country but I've been a city boy for my entire life.
I hope to move to Northern Idaho someday and live in a small town where things are a little slower and laid back.
Why Idaho? Nebraska is the good life!
I haven't been in Nebraska much, but I don't remember being able to buy guns in the convenience store with bullion coins. That's one of the many appeals of Northern Idaho that isn't shared with most of the country.
But Chicago is the only city larger than Seattle in the USA that I probably wouldn't mind living in but there's dozens of places I'd rather live.
