2 Samuel 22:35-51

He teaches my hands to make war, So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your gentleness has made me great. You enlarged my path under me; so my feet did not slip. I have pursued my enemies and destroyed them; neither did I turn back again till they were destroyed. And I have destroyed them and wounded them, so that they could not rise: they have fallen under my feet. For You have armed me with strength for the battle; You have subdued under me those who rose against me. You have also given me the necks of my enemies. So that I destroyed those who hated me. They looked, but there was none to save: even to the Lord, but He did not answer them. Then I beat them as fine as the dust of the earth: I trod them like dirt in the street and I spread them out. You have also delivered me from the strivings of my people; you have kept me as the head of the nations. A people I have not known shall serve me. The foreigners submit to me; As soon as they hear, they obey me. The foreigners fade away. And come frightened from their hideouts. The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let God be exalted, The Rock of my salvation! It is God who avenges me, and subdues the peoples under me; He delivers me from my enemies. You also lift me up above those who rise against me; You have delivered me from the violent man. Therefore I will five thanks to You. O Lord, among the Gentiles, and sing praises to Your name, He is the tower of salvation to His king, and shows mercy to His anointed; to David and his descendants forevermore.

-In this way Christ causes us to conquer through Him over the evil ones and our enemies. We conquer through Him and for Him; for His glory only. Everything we do, we do it for His glory.

i see you might be directing this post towards what I said about war, but I never said war was not what God commanded, I said I don't think God causes war to happen based on our skin color. Do you see what I am saying??

yes horseyloveu I know what you mean. I simply found this passage while I was doing history this morning and thought it appropriate. skin color has nothing to do with it. evil people do, and we are out to catch the bad guys (namely; RADICAL MUSLIMS AND TERRORISTS). death happens. it's war. better to lose thousands through war than millions through continous attacks on our soil. violence; who is for it besides the terrorists?

HERE THIS: I AM AN AMERICAN. I WILL NOT TOLERATE EVIL MEN KILLING MY PEOPLE NOR OTHER INNOCENT PEOPLE; IRAQIS INCLUDED. I AM NOT FOR WAR, OR BLOODSHED. BUT IF WAR AND MILITARY ACTION IS WHAT IT TAKES TO OVERCOME THE BAD GUYS, EVEN THOUGH THERE IS A COST WITH WAR, AMERICA WILL DO IT.

Jen,

Thank you so much for posting this passage of Scripture. As a warrior myself, it takes a lot to be able to stand the stresses of war, and to understand why I do what I do, and who I do it for. Putting my Faith in the Lord is the single most important thing I can do to make it through these perilous times. This truly is a fight between Good and Evil. I feel Good will triumph, especially with support from people like you.

Thank you.

Mike
