big sacrifices...

I had my first violin lesson last night while the boys were at tae-kwon-doe. Fun... and awkward. Of course when I first got my violin I held it in the position that felt natural.. oh was my position wrong! There is a certain way to hold your fingers on the bow and your arm and wrist on the violin. Help! I can't even read music notes... I know that's really embarrassing. Oh well I still enjoy my violin! But then... as I struggled to make music on that beautiful instrument.. the horrid news: I would have to cut my fingernails. As sweet as I am (ahem... please know that was sarcasm) I hid my now downcast spirits and bore it well... Oh! my nails had grown so nice and long and hadn't even broken! they made my fingers look longer and more graceful... ahh, the sacrifices we musicians make!

Tonight is dance... I'll let you know how dancing for Freedom goes!

America; I love you!

I take violin from a homeschooling mom up here. We meet at her house. I've only had one lesson though.

Today was going to be our homeschool Chess Club meeting and I was going to start teaching beginning ballet and Creative dance to any little girls interested. But it was cancelled. :(

That would be great if you could come up sometime...

Ummm... you know I haven't even taught a lesson yet and my guess is there will be very few girls will show up, at least in the beginning. So I don't know if it will work... hope so!
